Enid Blyton Very
I’m trying to find a series of children books about faeries, pixies, leprechauns, and gnomes.?

I read these books when i was around 6 or 7. They had very simple language and I think they had illustrations. Each book was a different story but they were all very similar. I think they were hardcover and some covers had colorful mushrooms with spots on them. I’ve been trying to find these books because I loved them so much. I remember reading a book in a day. So far the only books that seem similar are Enid Blyton books but I don’t think they are the ones I’m looking for…

Palmer Cox wrote a series of Brownie books, which (IIRC) may also include stories about elves, pixies and fairies as well.

I also found The Golden Book Treasury of Elves and Fairies…. But I don’t know if this is part of a series, or if it’s a stand-alone book.

Joseph Jacobs and Hamilton Wright Mabie each wrote a series of fairy tale books for children (check Project Guttenberg)

Andrew Lang is probably the best known for his children’s fairy books (The Blue Fairy Book, The Red Fairy Book, The Yellow Fairy Book, etc). I don’t know what the covers looked like; that would probably depend on the publisher and the edition.

You may also have had a series of single fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm or Hans Joseph Anderson.

Barnes & Noble, Borders Books, Amazon, and Project Guttenberg are good places to check, if you haven’t already.
