How do you keep a soft cover book in good condition in your backpack?
Make a hard cardboard slip cover for it.
Get an old book that is larger, cut the pages out, slit the spine slightly, bend the top & bottom of the back cover, fold the top & bottom of the spine, then fold the top & bottom of the front cover…use some duct tape to hold your folds & you’ve got a hard slip cover for your paperback.
