Whats the name of this horse movie?
So i watched this movie like 7 years ago. Lately I keep thinking about it.But i cant remember the name! There was this kid and like a a few hundred people on a ship.There was a horse section on this ship,the ship started on fire..or started to sink.i dont remember exactly which. But i remember the horse running across the cars and people jumping out of the way and the horse falling/jumping over board. Then in the watter this little boy grabbed on to him and swims to an island where they live for i while i believe.I dont really remember much after that,I know the horse is black.I thought it might have been black stallion or black beauty but its not either.I think it was a stallion and i remember its kinda wild while on the ship i believe.Any ideas? (:
that IS the plot for the black stallion, but there have been multiple film versions. was mickey rooney in it?

The Black Stallion is a 1979 American film based on the 1941 classic children’s novel The Black Stallion by Walter Farley. It tells the story of Alec Ramsey, who is shipwrecked on a deserted island, together with a wild Arabian stallion whom he befriends. After being rescued, they are set on entering a race challenging two champion horses.
The film is adapted by Melissa Mathison, Jeanne Rosenberg and William D. Wittliff. It is directed by Carroll Ballard. The movie stars Kelly Reno, Mickey Rooney, Teri Garr, Hoyt Axton, and the Arabian horse Cass Ole. The film features music by Carmine Coppola, the father of Hollywood producer Francis Ford Coppola, who was the executive producer of the film.
